3 Powerful Reads

by Bugout

The Secret

by Rhonda Byrne.

This book is extremely popular, almost so much that a lot of people disregard it as something with little substance. I've read this book so many times I've lost count (and I constantly refer to certain chapters almost daily). The idea of this book is not to wish your way into success but rather to shift your focus on what you really desire in life. There's a lot going on all around us daily, but being able to learn how to focus on only what's important to you and your future will help you reach your goals a lot faster.

"There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. Every single circumstances of your life can change!"

-Rhonda Byrne

Awaken The Giant Within

by Tony Robbins.

To be honest growing up hearing this guy's name being tossed around and joked about initially turned me off to anything he had to say. I realized after listening to one of his famous TED Talks that I was completely wrong, so much in fact I felt massive regret for not picking up his book sooner. This is my personal "bible," I bring this with me wherever I travel to stay sharp. I'm not going to explain this book to you because it's a journey you have to take yourself.

"I've come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy." -Tony Robbins

Outliers

by Malcolm Gladwell.

This book reads more like a school text book, the way Gladwell discusses stories of success by using percentages and factual evidence. It took me a minute to warm up to his style but half way through it I was hooked. I'm a huge fan of "connecting the dots" and he does it so well that it's definitely worth picking up.

"Practice isn't the thing you do once you're good. It's the thing you do that makes you good." - Malcolm Gladwell
